Politicians appointing judges is a recipe for disaster. Why would anybody do that ? And Kavanaugh is just the epitome of spoiled child. I heard all these things about Kavanaugh giving a "strong defence", and then I watched it for myself... he's just a child throwing his toys out of the pram. His arguments don't make sense, let alone does he express them with the temperament befitting a judge. I remain baffled as to why anyone could think he's qualified to do anything much at all, but a judge ? His judgement seems utterly lacking to me.

His Strong Defence(tm) was not intended to provide an argument. It was entirely virtue-signalling. He was signalling the virtue of being a true right-wing authoritarian. And he signalled it so strongly that it immediately triggered Lindsey Graham's reflex to defend a fellow authoritarian from the mean non-authoritarians.
