When the typical Clinton voter was saying on all my feeds "Well, sure, she's corrupt, secretive, really a closet Republican, in the pocket of Wall Street, primarily responsible for the Iraq war, and she's not as awesome as Bernie (who we should have voted for but those stupid southern states didn't agree with us 'cause the DNC is corrupt), but at least she isn't as bad as Trump. Probably. You should totally vote though." I can't say I'm particularly surprised by this.
Why are those catastrophic presidents keep being elected by a minority? Seriously US, if you had updated your presidential election system, you could still mock Germans, Italians or Hungarians about how they voted for such a guy, really, Old Worlders, you couldn't tell?
If you wanted to compare the absolute number of votes cast, then yes, not starting from zero is lousy. If you want to compare how close the results were, then starting from zero would make things harder to read.
Due to a small but consistent influx of spam, comments will now be checked before publishing. Only egregious spam/illegal/racist crap will be disapproved, everything else will be published.

Elie Thorne my pardon. I misread your comment. It's been a very bad day.

ReplyDeleteRhys Taylor, remember, never use a cutoff bar chart, even when appropriate, because pendants will argue about that rather than the data.
