Corbyn has the right policies but is a useless leader

I like Corbyn. I agree with probably 90% or more of his policies. But as a leader he is useless.

Two Labour MPs have submitted a motion of no confidence in their leader Jeremy Corbyn for failing to give party voters a clear message on the EU referendum. Dame Margaret Hodge and Ann Coffey confirmed the move in a letter to the Parliamentary Labour Party chairman. The motion has no formal constitutional force but calls for a discussion at their next PLP meeting on Monday.

Asked if he will resign, Mr Corbyn, who campaigned on the losing Remain side, said: "No, I'm carrying on.
"I'm making the case for unity, I'm making the case of what Labour can offer to Britain, of decent housing for people, of good secure jobs for people, of trade with Europe and of course with other parts of the world. Because if we don't get the trade issue right, we've got a real problem in this country," he told Channel 4 News.

  1. I would like to submit a vote of no confidence in margagaret hodge and ann coffey and any other right wing tory infiltrated labour mp.
We would sooner poke our own eyes out than suffer any more than the 15 years of trash we have had from these blairites.
It is they who got us into this immigration mess with their warmongering ways.
We know that corbyn is brexit deep down and we respect his views.
But we also know that the tories and libs and labour have done nothing to control immigration in the past.
So now we are saying do what the public want control immigration and not in ten years, do it now.

  2. He's very principled which is nice, but he totally fails at leading the party

  3. I'm still not convinced we want strong leaders. Blair was one, and Godwin's law has prevented me mentioning another. I have a boring anecdote that is relevant, but it's boring...

  4. Rhys Taylor Quite the interesting story you have there, across the pond. Hope everything works out for Great Britain.

  5. I think Corbyn's approach could probably have worked if he wasn't thrust into power with zero experience as a minister. I admired and continue to admire his call for a kinder politics, with the xenophobic arse-twits of UKIP on the rise it's needed now more than ever. But it's a balancing act of knowing when to lead by consensus and when a firmer hand is needed, and he doesn't seem to have the knack of it. I also agree with his "7.5/10" assessment of the E.U.; on a bad day I might even drop that half a point or so. But that is absolutely not what to say in a campaign to stay in ! You don't have to tell lies like the brexiteers did, but you've got to be more upbeat than "7.5/10".

  6. Mark Ruhland We've been around a long, long time. We'll be back. But I strongly suspect we are going to shrink dramatically from the world stage for the foreseeable future.

  7. Rhys Taylor Yeah, you've been around a long time. I don't even want to think about our election cycle, in the US. #nitemares.
