I truly believe that it is in Britain's long term best interest to leave the EU. The fall of the EU will occur very shortly after the fall of the US Empire; which will happen sooner rather than later if anyone other than Bernie Sanders becomes president.
David Lazarus not my horse, but it does seem to me that the EU actually gives the UK significant advantages for as long as it lasts, and should it collapse down the road doesn't leave the UK any worse off than if they'd skipped the years when they could have those advantages.
Of course, you'll decide for yourselves what you want to do as a country.
David Lazarus But I thought you were pro open borders and freedom of movement ? This would be incredibly difficult to do without the E.U., not least because many of those voting "leave" are the sort who think that foreigners are the cause of every problem.
Daniel Taylor - I'm a Brit in spirit, but not by heritage. Not in this lifetime anyway.
Rhys Taylor - I am pro open borders with the caveat that - refugees- moderate extremists (an oxymoron, perhaps, but a fitting description nevertheless) need to be chipped and actively monitored. Like I said, the EU is going to fall. Soon. We will know more by inauguration day here in the US.
Foreigners or moderate extremists as mentioned above?
