Both "Remain" and "Leave" are not single options

This doesn't mean that there isn't still a preference for leaving in some form, though many polls indicate that that's the case. But the original question wasn't phrased sensibly; it was simplified to the point of being meaningless. To be fair, Remain shouldn't be reduced to a single category either : some people might want to Remain but only if the EU was significantly reformed in various ways. Remaining doesn't necessarily mean status quo any more than Brexit means "let's give Johhny Foreigner what for, tally ho !" as certain Brexiteers seem to insist. The graphic is unfair in presenting Remain as a single option, but correct in pointing out that Brexit voters (note I always try to distinguish these from Brexiteers) may very well want different things. The essential point being that the referendum asked a stupid question, hence we got a stupid non-answer.
