Labour has lost its soul

Labour is currently so broken that it's genuinely as bad as the Tories. Do they have some nice policies I agree with ? Sure ? Do I trust either their sincerity or ability to implement them ? Not for a second. It's hard to envisage this even being salvageable. It feels like the party has not, as under Blair, made some almighty mistakes, but actually lost its soul. It has chosen to make an ideological shift towards this strange premise that democracy means cherry-picking which votes to completely ignore and which to hold as incontestable. There's no thoughtful process behind it, no carefully considered account of the particular circumstances that might give some legitimacy to the process, no meaningful attempt to reach out to dissenters other than to say, "you're wrong"; an almost gleeful delight in rejecting criticism without analysis, let alone understanding.

Labour under Jeremy Corbyn is blindly following the agenda of the most ghastly Tory government in history in pursuing the most suicidally stupid and unnecessary political endeavour since – well since ever. By enabling Brexit the Labour party hierachy is ignoring the will of most of its members and supporters and doing the 48% of largely progressive and outward looking Britons, who voted Remain, a massive disservice.
