ReplyDeleteAye, there's the rub. People don't value constant benefits - no-one gasps with delight every time they turn on a light. They value things which are continuously varying but familiar. If the EU sponsored pubs and sports matches, Britons would swap God Save The Queen for Ode To Joy overnight.
