The clown show continues. Like Big Brother, they keep promising to cancel it but fail miserably.

Is it to much to hope that all Brexiteers resign, and the 'barely sane' ones left over, make better decisions?
ReplyDeleteSadly, yes.
ReplyDeleteWilco Roos I suspect so, unfortunately. The Quitters resign, but continue to heckle from the back benches - see David Davis, for example, who's complaining that if only someone in government had put sufficient effort into negotiating, we'd have a good deal by now.
ReplyDeleteAnd May's lack of majority makes her sufficiently weak that she can't ignore the back bench hecklers. Unless something surprising happens, the current path is to a no deal Brexit.

ReplyDeleteWell, he has a point. With better negotiators, they would have obtained a "We say we're really sorry, and you let us stay in the EU and forget that whole mess" deal.
Elie Thorne Well, it is not like the Brexiteers will be satisfied with anything but a hard breakup, fuck the people and the economy. It is not like anything would go right after that idiotic jump of a cliff they seem to hunker after.
