A simple reason why people still think the Earth is flat

Because they're bloody stupid. Next question.

    I spend a lot of time (OK, way too much time) arguing with YEC's about evolution. The YEC's think the Flat-Earther's are wrong, and it really pisses them off if you merely suggest the Bible says the Earth is flat (try it, expect a sermon in response).

    One thing that is consistent - YEC's and FE's are unwilling or unable to discuss epistemology at all. YEC's insist FE's interpret the Bible incorrectly, but will not consider the question of why their interpretation is better.
